Retirement security is an issue and concern for all Americans, with 31% of the workforce having zero savings set aside specifically for retirement. Data shows that women have a harder time preparing for retirement than men for many reasons including longevity, lack of access to traditional pensions, lower wages, interrupted work histories for caretaking responsibilities, and lower financial literacy.
However, there are many opportunities in retirement planning for baby boomer women. This CE course will outline how to determine a client's needs and develop a plan and then dive into the following subjects and how they relate to retirement planning for women:
- Social Security Benefits
- Employer Sponsored Retirement Plans
- Investment and income distribution planning
- Selected Health Care Issues
- Planning at different points in the lifecycle
