Thriving Beyond Midlife: Going BEYOND the Money! This session is designed to inform financial professionals about the challenges their clients face as they contemplate and pursue their retirement plans. Thriving Beyond Midlife is grounded in the notion that the goal of retirement planning should be to support people in living the rest of their lives as fully as possible, so that they may become richly old instead of merely old and rich. Thriving Beyond Midlife is a concept and a way of looking at the thing we call retirement that goes beyond the money. This introduction to Thriving Beyond Midlife will enhance the preparation for – and experience of – living from midlife through dying. Attendees will be introduced to a unique Triptik of Aging that provides a new way of understanding the 30+ years that follow “retirement,” and enables seeing retirement in its full scope and potential. The session ends with a discussion and exercise around “Where will you live?” assessing the living opportunities that face us as we make the transition from active to quiet living. Speakers
